Which Photos Work Best for an AI Rap Video

The source photos decide how good an AI rap video looks. What to upload, what to avoid, and quick fixes for common problems.

The quality of an AI rap video is set long before you press Create. The generator keeps each person's face, hairstyle and outfit from the photos you upload, so better photos mean a more convincing duo. Here is what to look for.

What works well

  • One person per photo. Crop out friends in the background. The model needs one clear subject per image.
  • A front-facing angle. Looking roughly at the camera gives the lip sync a clean view of the mouth.
  • Even light. Daylight from a window or soft indoor light beats harsh flash or deep shadows across the face.
  • A sharp, visible face. No motion blur, and the face should be large enough to read clearly.
  • Waist-up or full body. Showing the outfit helps the final video look like the real person.
  • Similar framing in both photos. If one photo is a tight close-up and the other is a wide full-body shot, crop one so they match.

Accepted formats are JPG, PNG and WebP, up to 10 MB per photo.

What to avoid

  • Tiny faces cropped from group shots. They lose detail and often come out blurry.
  • Heavy filters or face paint. Beauty filters and strong color grading confuse the identity.
  • Sunglasses, masks or hats over the face. The model can't keep what it can't see.
  • Photos of people who haven't agreed. Only use photos of yourself or of people who gave you permission, and never sexualized or harmful content.

Quick fixes for common problems

The face looks different from the photo. Use a sharper, front-facing photo with even light. This fixes most identity issues.

The two people look like they're from different scenes. Pick photos with similar framing and lighting, then try again.

The outfit changed. Choose a photo where the outfit is clearly visible, and use the style note only for one small detail.

The render failed. Credits are returned to your balance automatically, so you can retry with a different photo.

Before you upload, a 10-second checklist

  1. One person, facing the camera
  2. Face sharp and well lit
  3. Outfit visible
  4. Both photos framed alike
  5. Everyone pictured agreed to it
